On Surrender..

Michael Singer shares his journey of surpassing his preferences to accept what arrives in his life— The Surrender Experiment. This work leads to a peaceful walk through life, simply letting go of our human tendencies to control and rather accepting the magic of the universe.

I picked up this book when I was (and still do) find myself at a point of tension when my preferences weren’t present. This leads me into uncertainty around my own identity and purpose. I often find myself asking questions: Am I where I’m supposed to be? Am I showing up as who I really am?

The truth is every moment is exactly as it’s meant to be...how annoyingly simple is that?! Nonetheless, this is still a practice I choose everyday: accepting what arrives, rather than holding onto preferences of the mind. This mindset allows us to manifest all that we desire, for when we desire all that we are there is no desire we are not.

Truthfully, once I began to practice the surrender experiment, the universe presented magic moments in the absence of preferences. I invite you to join me along the surrender experiment. This life is meant to be enjoyed— to surrender and watch the universe expand without limits. This practice will lead you to the sweet taste of peace.
