On Intuition..

February 19, 2026

Upon the rise of the fire horse bearing the Chinese new year, I felt compelled to learn more about what this meant and how it was to be defined in culture. As I motioned to grasp onto something to tell me what this meant, I felt a gentle nudge to go inward and feel into the energy that carried me when I envisioned the fire horse and its transition from the snake.

While this is my invitation for you to explore yourself, I feel as though the practice of going inward can be applied to so many areas of life, if not all of them.

A limitless source of knowing exists within you; nothing outside of you is needed to continue along your path.

I find myself becoming endlessly distracted by all of the beauty of this life, and that in itself is beautiful—But there is no greater fire than the one that lives within you. There is nothing more beautiful than becoming YOU.

Each time you choose to go inward it adds more fuel to your fire. Eventually you're no longer looking outside yourself for the answers, but choosing to let the answers arise from within. Suddenly you're no longer looking for a North Star—you become your own.

Intuition is the light inside of you. It must be nurtured the same way one keeps a fire burning. Honoring your intuition might feel risky, unconventional, and terrifying because we're not inherently taught this..in fact we're taught the opposite.

Fire is spirit.

It transforms, purifies, illuminates. Fire burns through what no longer serves and reveals what's always been true. From the sacred flames of Hindu ceremonies to Native American Traditions—fire has always represented the divine spirit within us, the life force that cultivates our being.

What is beautiful about the spirit? No matter what decision you make for whatever reason, it will alwaysguide you back to spirit. It will either say thank you for bringing me home or thank you for allowing me to show you the way home. Your fire is not here nor there—it just is—and you choose how to embody it.

This is my take on the fire horse: It's being deeply guided by your intuition that's leading you to feel as free as a horse galloping through the field.

It's tending to the fire inside of you, shedding light on your shadows, surfacing the truths, illuminating love into the world.

Feel into what the fire horse means for you. Light that shit on fire. Let it burn and rebuild something beautiful. You've done the work to shed your layers—now let that beautiful bold self into the world.

How do we do this?

Action is the way to embody the fire horse.

Give something up today.
A habit, practice, belief, person, object— Observe the mind move through discomfort without this thing until you feel lighter after letting go of your attachment to the thing. The thing you think you can't live without is the thing to practice living without.

Allow your truths to surface.
It's time to stop hiding and bring light to your shadows. What are you ignoring or denying that must be faced to move forward?

Start the creative practice.
Begin to express your creativity without any expectations around the outcome. There is no greater reason to begin something other than the joy it brings you.

P.S. Breathing is a beautiful way to feel your fire. Kapalbhati—also known as “skull shining breath”— heats up the body and moves energy. This looks like forcefully exhaling through the nose in short, rapid bursts while allowing the inhale to happen passively. Sit comfortably, take a deep breath in, then begin pumping your belly in with each quick exhale, letting your abdomen relax naturally on the inhale.
